One thing that you and I have to understand is that motivation is internal which means it's personal. It is the willingness of someone or a team to expand their energy in order to achieve a goal or the expected results. Of course, you can say that it's a psychological phenomenon. Leaders should be followed and not to be obeyed just because of their positions. If they are followed then it means that they have inspired the people that are following them. But if they are obeyed just because of their positions they hold then it means they are forcing people to do things unwillingly.
If you have employed people, you should motivate which in fact acts as your organization's lifeblood. Why am I telling you this? You see, without doing this all your other organizations resources would be ineffective. No matter how much machinery and other modern equipment you install in your organization, they will remain unproductive if the employees who are supposed to operate them are not motivated.
Many organizations are facing challenges regarding employees complains. Majority of the organizations that have failed to address these complains properly have experienced losses. The losses are in the form of employee's strikes, wastage of organization raw materials and careless operation of machines.
There are many ways that you can use in boosting your employees motivation. Some of the ways are:
All employees require sufficient money to meet their daily needs and to be able to provide for their families. You can energize them by increasing their salaries, giving them bonus or even through profit sharing initiative.
You should engage your staff in decision making process. If you do this your staff will have a sense of belonging and this motivates them. They will know that they are recognized by the organization.
Job enrichment will make your employees to work well. You should give them a chance in deciding certain routine things because this creates excitement and interests in them. Assigning them a complete project, delegating them additional authority and giving them organizations reports directly are examples on how to enrich the job.
Improve communications. This is to ensure that there is a proper communication of issues between the employees and the management. Give all your employees the necessary information they need to know on how to solve their problems within the organization. There should be an effective upward communication because it is the one that determines and reflects the effectiveness of the already set policies of the organization.
The terms of employment such as opportunity of promotions to existing employees, leave allowances and other perquisites [fringe benefits] available to employees will highly motivate them.
High morale is associate with high productive. If there is high morale among your employees then there is high probability that your organization is going to achieve its desired results. You should be able to implement the factors that boost employee's moral which will later on transform to motivation.

One of the hardest aspects of self help and motivation is to keep pushing yourself in times when you don't feel like it at all or have literally zero momentum. Maybe you didn't get a lot of sleep the night before or maybe you just got a really bad start to your day and never got to develop the proper momentum throughout the day, there are many reasons but it doesn't really matter why you don't feel like taking action. What is important is the fact that you do not accept "not feeling like it" or not having enough momentum as a valid excuse for not taking action.
Unfortunately we are born and raised in a society where people see not doing something and not taking action because "I just don't feel like it" like a valid excuse! Whoever invented this foolish idea? If all people in the world were to only take action when they felt like it we would literally have stagnating world with no real advances in any areas. So the first thing you need to make your brain understand immediately is that not feeling like something is not a valid excuse. Secondly you want to fight the lack of momentum and motivation by creating new momentum and motivation.
The easiest way to create these two might entities is simply to start taking action immediately. Don't listen to what your brain says about how you don't feel like it and perhaps you should start tomorrow instead! Ignore all those things and start moving your body towards the place where you need to take action, once there just start taking action and before you know it you will have accepted it and will actually feel really good about doing so.
It is important to not see the brain as your enemy because it tries to make you rationalize and procrastinate on things, the brain simply tries to help you and it will do so in the exact way it has been programmed to, as it thinks that your old patterns of behavior give you the best survival value possible.
So if you have been used to procrastinating severely and not taking any action for days, months or even years, your brain will be extremely good at starting these patterns and try to make you fall back into them. Whenever it does this, just start taking action and you will quickly realize how easy it is to push yourself!
